“La moneta di Satana”, di Cosimo Massaro, è un libro che si pone tra fiction e realtà, in the wake of literary works such as "1984" by George Orwell and "Master of the World" by Robert Hugh Benson. It is not detached from the reality of a novel but a fantastic narrative that helps us to grasp some of the truest and deepest aspects of the world we live in, things that go mostly unnoticed paradoxically, overwhelmed by the frenzy of everyday life.
"The currency of Satan" involves us in a plot in which money is the protagonist, just as happens in today's society, but also helps us to gradually discover the true nature to us about it, those that, for laziness or cultural conditioning, we do not ever say: who is the owner of the money at the time of its creation? The State, as we all believe, or banks, as it inevitably results? What are the economic, social, political, of what? This mechanism has to do with the fact that perhaps nations, citizens and businesses are all inexorably indebted to the banking system?
Continuing in this direction shows the side of "satanic" money, which appears to have been increasingly turned into a means of oppression and exploitation of an organized minority to the detriment of the mass of citizens. The hope is then that the player, finished the last page of the book, leave the fictional reality to fit in his daily more aware of what is really the money and how to get it back to be what it always should have been: a tool to serve the common good and prosperity.

Monetary Justice is particularly honored to host in Bergamo, the author of "Money of Satan", Cosimo Massaro, with whom he hopes to forge a successful evening of discussion and reflection on issues so important and extremely topical.
